Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2015 a collector was able to acquire the work We Are Resistant - We Dry Out In The Sun (Large Yellow Poolside Bin) by Martin Boyce for GBP 5,000.00 (€ 6,993.75). This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Art Day Auction at Sothebys in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 6,000.00 – 8,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Martin Boyce have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in March 2017 with an auction result of GBP 40,000.00 (€ 46,876.05).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober 2015 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit We Are Resistant - We Dry Out In The Sun (Large Yellow Poolside Bin) von Martin Boyce für GBP 5.000,00 (€ 6.993,75) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Contemporary Art Day Auction bei Sothebys in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Martin Boyce auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im März 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 40.000,00 (€ 46.876,05).
