Auction result well in line with expectations
The work We Have Become The Air Now by Martin Boyce was sold in the Contemporary Curated auction at Sothebys in London in November 2019. The price achieved of GBP 6,250.00 (€ 7,339.03) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Admittedly, works by Martin Boyce have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in March 2017 with an auction result of GBP 40,000.00 (€ 46,876.05).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit We Have Become The Air Now von Martin Boyce wurde im November 2019 in der Auktion Contemporary Curated bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 6.250,00 (€ 7.339,03) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Martin Boyce auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im März 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 40.000,00 (€ 46.876,05).
