In March 2018 Christies in New York held the auction Post-War and Contemporary Art, which included the work Indicio by Juan Genovés. The »bidding war« ended at USD 65,000.00 (€ 52,759.74), 30% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Juan Genovés - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Columna I, which sold at auction in November last year for USD 151,200.00 (€ 146,469.05).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 30 % übertroffen
Im März 2018 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Indicio von Juan Genovés zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 65.000,00 (€ 52.759,74) und damit 30% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Juan Genovés mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Columna I beobachtet, die im November letzten Jahres für USD 151.200,00 (€ 146.469,05) versteigert wurde.
