A top price for Juan Genovés - as previously expected
In November last year Phillips in New York held the auction 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale, Morning Session, which included the work Columna I by Juan Genovés. The price achieved of USD 151,200.00 (€ 146,469.05) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 120,000.00 – 180,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Columna I is the most expensive artwork by Juan Genovés that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Im November letzten Jahres führte Phillips in New York die Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale, Morning Session durch, in der auch die Arbeit Columna I von Juan Genovés zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 151.200,00 (€ 146.469,05) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 120.000,00 – 180.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Columna I das teuerste Kunstwerk von Juan Genovés, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
