Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Trasiego by Juan Genovés was sold in the New Now auction at Phillips in London in July 2020. It changed hands for a price of GBP 62,500.00 (€ 69,713.99) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 45,000.00 – 65,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Juan Genovés - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Columna I, which sold at auction in November last year for USD 151,200.00 (€ 146,469.05).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Trasiego von Juan Genovés wurde im Juli 2020 in der Auktion New Now bei Phillips in London versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 62.500,00 (€ 69.713,99) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 45.000,00 – 65.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Juan Genovés mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Columna I beobachtet, die im November letzten Jahres für USD 151.200,00 (€ 146.469,05) versteigert wurde.
