Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Iluminado by Juan Genovés was sold in the 20th c. and Contemporary Art Day Sale - Afternoon Session auction at Phillips in New York in December 2020. Here, the upper estimate of USD 70,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 78,120.00 (€ 63,875.72). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Juan Genovés - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Columna I, which sold at auction in November last year for USD 151,200.00 (€ 146,469.05).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Iluminado von Juan Genovés wurde im Dezember 2020 in der Auktion 20th c. and Contemporary Art Day Sale - Afternoon Session bei Phillips in New York versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 70.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 78.120,00 (€ 63.875,72) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Juan Genovés mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Columna I beobachtet, die im November letzten Jahres für USD 151.200,00 (€ 146.469,05) versteigert wurde.
