Sold at the upper estimate price
In May 2018 Sothebys in New York held the auction Contemporary Art Day Auction, which included the work Pink Check Mix by Harmony Korine. The auction ended at the price of USD 60,000.00 (€ 51,413.88), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Harmony Korine - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Clif Note Check, which sold at auction in February 2017 for USD 112,500.00 (€ 105,952.16).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Im Mai 2018 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Contemporary Art Day Auction durch, in der auch die Arbeit Pink Check Mix von Harmony Korine zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 60.000,00 (€ 51.413,88) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Harmony Korine mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Clif Note Check beobachtet, die im Februar 2017 für USD 112.500,00 (€ 105.952,16) versteigert wurde.
