Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Floosy X Line by Harmony Korine was sold in the Post-War & Contemporary Art Day Sale auction at Christies in New York in November last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 20,160.00 (€ 19,529.21) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Harmony Korine have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Clif Note Check in February 2017 with an auction result of USD 112,500.00 (€ 105,952.16).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Floosy X Line von Harmony Korine wurde im November letzten Jahres in der Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art Day Sale bei Christies in New York versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 20.160,00 (€ 19.529,21) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Harmony Korine auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Clif Note Check im Februar 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 112.500,00 (€ 105.952,16).
