Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Harmony Korine could be acquired at Phillips in New York in July 2020 for an unexpectedly low price. In the 20th c. & Contemporary Art Day Sale, Afternoon Session auction, the work Pajama Reststops changed hands for USD 18,750.00 (€ 15,924.92) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. Admittedly, works by Harmony Korine have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Clif Note Check in February 2017 with an auction result of USD 112,500.00 (€ 105,952.16).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Harmony Korine konnte im Juli 2020 bei Phillips in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion 20th c. & Contemporary Art Day Sale, Afternoon Session wechselte die Arbeit Pajama Reststops für USD 18.750,00 (€ 15.924,92) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 25.000,00 – 35.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Harmony Korine auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Clif Note Check im Februar 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 112.500,00 (€ 105.952,16).
