The »bidding war« ended at USD 3,528.00 (€ 3,054.02), 41% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by H. C. Westermann achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Rosebud in May 2016 with an auction result of USD 137,000.00 (€ 123,035.47).

Die Arbeit Untitled #9, from See America First (T. 2434, A. & B 14K) von H. C. Westermann wurde im Oktober 2021 in der Auktion Editions & Works on Paper bei Phillips in New York versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 3.528,00 (€ 3.054,02) und damit 41% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von H. C. Westermann erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Rosebud im Mai 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 137.000,00 (€ 123.035,47).
