A top price for H. C. Westermann
This artwork by H. C. Westermann achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in May 2016. In the Post-War and Contemporary Art Morning Session auction, the work Rosebud sold for USD 137,000.00 (€ 123,035.47) - well above the upper estimate of USD 70,000.00. This high result makes Rosebud the most expensive artwork by H. C. Westermann that we have observed at auctions so far.

Dieses Kunstwerk von H. C. Westermann erzielte im Mai 2016 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art Morning Session wurde die Arbeit Rosebud für USD 137.000,00 (€ 123.035,47) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 70.000,00.
