This work without title by H. C. Westermann was auctioned at Phillips in New York in September this year. It achieved a price of USD 7,620.00 (€ 7,199.55), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 27%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by H. C. Westermann achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Rosebud in May 2016 with an auction result of USD 137,000.00 (€ 123,035.47).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 27 % übertroffen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von H. C. Westermann kam im September diesen Jahres bei Phillips in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 7.620,00 (€ 7.199,55) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 27%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von H. C. Westermann erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Rosebud im Mai 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 137.000,00 (€ 123.035,47).
