Auction result misses estimated price range
In October last year a collector was able to acquire the work Sky by Chiho Aoshima for USD 630.00 (€ 634.19). This price was achieved in the auction Editions & Works on Paper at Phillips in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Chiho Aoshima achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work City Glow in May 2010 with an auction result of USD 60,000.00 (€ 48,508.37).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober letzten Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Sky von Chiho Aoshima für USD 630,00 (€ 634,19) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Editions & Works on Paper bei Phillips in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Chiho Aoshima erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit City Glow im Mai 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 60.000,00 (€ 48.508,37).
