The work The Rebirth of a Snake Woman by Chiho Aoshima was sold in the Un regard sur le monde : Collection Comte & Comtesse Jean-Jacques de Flers auction at Christies in Paris in September last year. It achieved a price of EUR 10,080.00 exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 55 %. Admittedly, works by Chiho Aoshima have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work City Glow in May 2010 with an auction result of USD 60,000.00 (€ 48,508.37).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 55 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit The Rebirth of a Snake Woman von Chiho Aoshima wurde im September letzten Jahres in der Auktion Un regard sur le monde : Collection Comte & Comtesse Jean-Jacques de Flers bei Christies in Paris versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von EUR 10.080,00 und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 55 %. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Chiho Aoshima auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit City Glow im Mai 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 60.000,00 (€ 48.508,37).
