This artwork by Alfonso Ossorio achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in May last year. In the Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale auction, the work Nevertheless sold for USD 604,800.00 (€ 563,600.78) - well above the upper estimate of USD 300,000.00. This high result makes Nevertheless the most expensive artwork by Alfonso Ossorio that we have observed at auctions so far.
