The result of USD 30,000.00 (€ 25,286.58) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alfonso Ossorio achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Nevertheless in May last year with an auction result of USD 604,800.00 (€ 563,600.78).

Die Arbeit Untitled (Abstract Figure) von Alfonso Ossorio kam im Juli 2021 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 30.000,00 (€ 25.286,58) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Alfonso Ossorio erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Nevertheless im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 604.800,00 (€ 563.600,78).
