Auction result well in line with expectations
In September this year Christies in London held the auction Post-War to Present, which included this untitled work by Alfonso Ossorio. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 30,240.00 (€ 28,571.43) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alfonso Ossorio achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Nevertheless in May last year with an auction result of USD 604,800.00 (€ 563,600.78).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September diesen Jahres führte Christies in London die Auktion Post-War to Present durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Alfonso Ossorio zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 30.240,00 (€ 28.571,43) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Alfonso Ossorio erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Nevertheless im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 604.800,00 (€ 563.600,78).
