Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Alfonso Ossorio was sold in the Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale auction at Christies in New York in November 2021. The price achieved of USD 30,000.00 (€ 26,579.25) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alfonso Ossorio achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Nevertheless in May last year with an auction result of USD 604,800.00 (€ 563,600.78).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Alfonso Ossorio wurde im November 2021 in der Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale bei Christies in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 30.000,00 (€ 26.579,25) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 25.000,00 – 35.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Alfonso Ossorio erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Nevertheless im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 604.800,00 (€ 563.600,78).
