Sold at the lower estimate price
In May 2021 Christies in New York held the auction Post-War & Contemporary Art Day Sale, which included this untitled work by Alfonso Ossorio. The result of USD 40,000.00 (€ 32,803.02) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alfonso Ossorio achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Nevertheless in May last year with an auction result of USD 604,800.00 (€ 563,600.78).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im Mai 2021 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art Day Sale durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Alfonso Ossorio zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 40.000,00 (€ 32.803,02) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Alfonso Ossorio erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Nevertheless im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 604.800,00 (€ 563.600,78).
