Auction result misses estimated price range
In May 2018 a collector was able to acquire the work Untitled (From Cafeteras) by Alejandro Otero for USD 200,000.00 (€ 171,379.61). This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Art Day Auction at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 250,000.00 – 350,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Alejandro Otero have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Coloritmo 57 in November 2015 with an auction result of USD 790,000.00 (€ 747,964.40).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Mai 2018 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Untitled (From Cafeteras) von Alejandro Otero für USD 200.000,00 (€ 171.379,61) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Contemporary Art Day Auction bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 250.000,00 – 350.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Alejandro Otero auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Coloritmo 57 im November 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 790.000,00 (€ 747.964,40).
