Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Coloritmo 55 by Alejandro Otero was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in November 2017. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 400,000.00 – 600,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 435,000.00 (€ 365,607.67) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Alejandro Otero - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Coloritmo 57, which sold at auction in November 2015 for USD 790,000.00 (€ 747,964.40).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Coloritmo 55 von Alejandro Otero kam im November 2017 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 400.000,00 – 600.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 435.000,00 (€ 365.607,67) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Alejandro Otero mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Coloritmo 57 beobachtet, die im November 2015 für USD 790.000,00 (€ 747.964,40) versteigert wurde.
