Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A Pair of Two Granite Chairs by Scott Burton was sold in the Post-War & Contemporary Art Afternoon Session auction at Christies in New York in November 2012. It changed hands for a price of USD 98,500.00 (€ 75,710.99) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 70,000.00 – 100,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Scott Burton - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Pair of Granite Chairs, which sold at auction in October 2007 for GBP 156,500.00 (€ 224,744.30).

Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 98.500,00 (€ 75.710,99) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 70.000,00 – 100.000,00.
