This artwork by Scott Burton achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in September 2012. In the First Open Post-War and Contemporary Art auction, the work Two-Cube Table sold for USD 52,500.00 (€ 40,836.96) - well above the upper estimate of USD 30,000.00. Admittedly, works by Scott Burton have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Pair of Granite Chairs in October 2007 with an auction result of GBP 156,500.00 (€ 224,744.30).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Scott Burton erzielte im September 2012 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion First Open Post-War and Contemporary Art wurde die Arbeit Two-Cube Table für USD 52.500,00 (€ 40.836,96) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 30.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Scott Burton auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Pair of Granite Chairs im Oktober 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 156.500,00 (€ 224.744,30).
