Auction result misses estimated price range
In September 2019 a collector was able to acquire the work Igual Que Siempre by Sarah Grilo for USD 18,750.00 (€ 17,193.95). This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Curated at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Sarah Grilo - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Mi Buenos Aires querido, which sold at auction in March last year for USD 60,480.00 (€ 54,520.87).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im September 2019 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Igual Que Siempre von Sarah Grilo für USD 18.750,00 (€ 17.193,95) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Contemporary Curated bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Sarah Grilo mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Mi Buenos Aires querido beobachtet, die im März letzten Jahres für USD 60.480,00 (€ 54.520,87) versteigert wurde.
