This artwork by Sarah Grilo achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in November 2018. In the Latin American Art auction, the work Azul sold for USD 47,500.00 (€ 41,950.01) - well above the upper estimate of USD 25,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Sarah Grilo; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Mi Buenos Aires querido sold at auction in March last year with the realized price of USD 60,480.00 (€ 54,520.87).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 90 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Sarah Grilo erzielte im November 2018 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Latin American Art wurde die Arbeit Azul für USD 47.500,00 (€ 41.950,01) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 25.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Sarah Grilo; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Mi Buenos Aires querido im März letzten Jahres mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 60.480,00 (€ 54.520,87).
