In May 2018 Sothebys in New York held the auction Contemporary Art Day Auction, which included the work Bam (For Jordan) by Sanford Biggers. The »bidding war« ended at USD 23,750.00 (€ 20,351.33), 58% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Sanford Biggers have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Banneker in March last year with an auction result of USD 138,600.00 (€ 124,943.66).

Im Mai 2018 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Contemporary Art Day Auction durch, in der auch die Arbeit Bam (For Jordan) von Sanford Biggers zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 23.750,00 (€ 20.351,33) und damit 58% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Sanford Biggers auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Banneker im März letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 138.600,00 (€ 124.943,66).
