The work Sala by Sanford Biggers was sold in the New Now auction at Phillips in New York in March this year. It achieved a price of USD 9,525.00 (€ 8,761.04), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 36%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Sanford Biggers achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Banneker in March last year with an auction result of USD 138,600.00 (€ 124,943.66).

Die Arbeit Sala von Sanford Biggers wurde im März diesen Jahres in der Auktion New Now bei Phillips in New York versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 9.525,00 (€ 8.761,04) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 36%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Sanford Biggers erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Banneker im März letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 138.600,00 (€ 124.943,66).
