Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2015 Sothebys in New York held the auction Contemporary Art Day Auction, which included the work Sterilized Dirt Bb 1 by Ryan Estep. The price achieved of USD 12,500.00 (€ 11,369.84) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ryan Estep - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work No. 3 From the Silica Sand Series, which sold at auction in November 2014 for USD 30,000.00 (€ 24,119.63).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2015 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Contemporary Art Day Auction durch, in der auch die Arbeit Sterilized Dirt Bb 1 von Ryan Estep zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 12.500,00 (€ 11.369,84) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Ryan Estep mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit No. 3 From the Silica Sand Series beobachtet, die im November 2014 für USD 30.000,00 (€ 24.119,63) versteigert wurde.
