Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Ryan Estep could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in March 2021 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Contemporary Art auction, the work Stretcher Bar #9 changed hands for USD 1,134.00 (€ 965.68) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ryan Estep achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work No. 3 From the Silica Sand Series in November 2014 with an auction result of USD 30,000.00 (€ 24,119.63).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Ryan Estep konnte im März 2021 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Contemporary Art wechselte die Arbeit Stretcher Bar #9 für USD 1.134,00 (€ 965,68) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ryan Estep erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit No. 3 From the Silica Sand Series im November 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 30.000,00 (€ 24.119,63).
