In December 2016 Phillips in London held the auction New Now, which included the work Sterilized Dirt B4 by Ryan Estep. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 5,000.00 (€ 5,845.81), 67% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Ryan Estep have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work No. 3 From the Silica Sand Series in November 2014 with an auction result of USD 30,000.00 (€ 24,119.63).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 67 % übertroffen
Im Dezember 2016 führte Phillips in London die Auktion New Now durch, in der auch die Arbeit Sterilized Dirt B4 von Ryan Estep zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 5.000,00 (€ 5.845,81) und damit 67% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ryan Estep auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit No. 3 From the Silica Sand Series im November 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 30.000,00 (€ 24.119,63).
