In February 2017 Phillips in New York held the auction New Now, which included the work Sterilized Dirt B12 by Ryan Estep. The result of USD 3,000.00 (€ 2,825.39) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by Ryan Estep have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work No. 3 From the Silica Sand Series in November 2014 with an auction result of USD 30,000.00 (€ 24,119.63).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im Februar 2017 führte Phillips in New York die Auktion New Now durch, in der auch die Arbeit Sterilized Dirt B12 von Ryan Estep zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 3.000,00 (€ 2.825,39) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ryan Estep auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit No. 3 From the Silica Sand Series im November 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 30.000,00 (€ 24.119,63).
