Auction result misses estimated price range
In November 2015 a collector was able to acquire the work Sterilized Dirt Bb 2 by Ryan Estep for USD 6,250.00 (€ 5,917.44). This price was achieved in the auction Fast Forward: New Directions in Contemporary Art at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 7,000.00 – 9,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Ryan Estep have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work No. 3 From the Silica Sand Series in November 2014 with an auction result of USD 30,000.00 (€ 24,119.63).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im November 2015 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Sterilized Dirt Bb 2 von Ryan Estep für USD 6.250,00 (€ 5.917,44) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Fast Forward: New Directions in Contemporary Art bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 7.000,00 – 9.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ryan Estep auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit No. 3 From the Silica Sand Series im November 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 30.000,00 (€ 24.119,63).
