Auction result misses estimated price range
In August 2018 a collector was able to acquire the work Sterilized Dirt D1 by Ryan Estep for USD 2,750.00 (€ 2,371.51). This price was achieved in the auction Horizon | Post-War and Contemporary Art at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ryan Estep achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work No. 3 From the Silica Sand Series in November 2014 with an auction result of USD 30,000.00 (€ 24,119.63).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im August 2018 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Sterilized Dirt D1 von Ryan Estep für USD 2.750,00 (€ 2.371,51) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Horizon | Post-War and Contemporary Art bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ryan Estep erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit No. 3 From the Silica Sand Series im November 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 30.000,00 (€ 24.119,63).
