Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Rodney Graham achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in New York in April this year. In the Editions & Works on Paper auction, the work Oxfordshire Oak, Bandord Fall sold for USD 3,429.00 (€ 3,105.98) - well above the upper estimate of USD 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Rodney Graham achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Inverted Drip Painting #47 in October 2018 with an auction result of GBP 150,000.00 (€ 169,153.72).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Rodney Graham erzielte im April diesen Jahres bei Phillips in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Editions & Works on Paper wurde die Arbeit Oxfordshire Oak, Bandord Fall für USD 3.429,00 (€ 3.105,98) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 1.200,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Rodney Graham erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Inverted Drip Painting #47 im Oktober 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 150.000,00 (€ 169.153,72).
