Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Rodney Graham could be acquired at Christies in Amsterdam in November last year for an unexpectedly low price. In the 20th/21st Century: Amsterdam auction, the work Children's Trolley (I had Trouble in Getting to Solla Sollew) changed hands for EUR 7,560.00 - missing the lower end of the estimate range of EUR 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Rodney Graham achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Inverted Drip Painting #47 in October 2018 with an auction result of GBP 150,000.00 (€ 169,153.72).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Rodney Graham konnte im November letzten Jahres bei Christies in Amsterdam für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion 20th/21st Century: Amsterdam wechselte die Arbeit Children's Trolley (I had Trouble in Getting to Solla Sollew) für EUR 7.560,00 den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Rodney Graham erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Inverted Drip Painting #47 im Oktober 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 150.000,00 (€ 169.153,72).
