In March 2018 Christies in New York held the auction Post-War and Contemporary Art, which included the work Portero Night II by Robert Bechtle. The result of USD 10,000.00 (€ 8,116.88) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Robert Bechtle achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work '64 Chrysler in November 2010 with an auction result of USD 458,500.00 (€ 351,718.32).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im März 2018 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Portero Night II von Robert Bechtle zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 10.000,00 (€ 8.116,88) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Robert Bechtle erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit '64 Chrysler im November 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 458.500,00 (€ 351.718,32).
