Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Richard Pousette-Dart was sold in the Contemporary Art Day Auction auction at Sothebys in New York in May 2019. It changed hands for a price of USD 32,500.00 (€ 29,150.60) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Richard Pousette-Dart achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Blood Wedding in November 2015 with an auction result of USD 2,629,000.00 (€ 2,489,111.91).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Richard Pousette-Dart wurde im Mai 2019 in der Auktion Contemporary Art Day Auction bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 32.500,00 (€ 29.150,60) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 25.000,00 – 35.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Richard Pousette-Dart erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Blood Wedding im November 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 2.629.000,00 (€ 2.489.111,91).
