Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Oswaldo Vigas achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in November 2017. In the Contemporary Art Day Auction auction, the work without title sold for USD 93,750.00 (€ 78,794.76) - well above the upper estimate of USD 40,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Oswaldo Vigas - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Paraíso Inconcluso, which sold at auction in November 2015 for USD 221,000.00 (€ 209,240.67).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Oswaldo Vigas erzielte im November 2017 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Art Day Auction wurde diese Arbeit ohne Titel für USD 93.750,00 (€ 78.794,76) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 40.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Oswaldo Vigas mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Paraíso Inconcluso beobachtet, die im November 2015 für USD 221.000,00 (€ 209.240,67) versteigert wurde.
