Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Nancy Graves could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in October 2018 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Prints & Multiples auction, this work without title changed hands for USD 375.00 (€ 330.92) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 500.00 – 700.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Nancy Graves achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Not Identical With in December 2021 with an auction result of USD 126,000.00 (€ 111,327.09).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Nancy Graves konnte im Oktober 2018 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Prints & Multiples wechselte diese Arbeit ohne Titel für USD 375,00 (€ 330,92) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 500,00 – 700,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Nancy Graves erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Not Identical With im Dezember 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 126.000,00 (€ 111.327,09).
