Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2021 Sothebys in New York held the auction Contemporary Art, which included the work Wax Works II by Nancy Graves. The price achieved of USD 5,670.00 (€ 4,828.41) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Nancy Graves achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Not Identical With in December 2021 with an auction result of USD 126,000.00 (€ 111,327.09).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2021 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Wax Works II von Nancy Graves zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 5.670,00 (€ 4.828,41) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Nancy Graves erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Not Identical With im Dezember 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 126.000,00 (€ 111.327,09).
