Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Nancy Graves could be acquired at Bonhams in December last year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Deck the WallsPrints & Multiples auction, the work III. Maestlin G Region of the Moon changed hands for USD 382.50 (€ 357.54) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 600.00 – 800.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Nancy Graves achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Not Identical With in December 2021 with an auction result of USD 126,000.00 (€ 111,327.09).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Nancy Graves konnte im Dezember letzten Jahres bei Bonhams für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Deck the WallsPrints & Multiples wechselte die Arbeit III. Maestlin G Region of the Moon für USD 382,50 (€ 357,54) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 600,00 – 800,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Nancy Graves erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Not Identical With im Dezember 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 126.000,00 (€ 111.327,09).
