Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Michael Landy could be acquired at Sothebys in London in October 2015 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Contemporary Art Day Auction auction, the work Working Around The Clock To Offer You A Complete Service changed hands for GBP 5,000.00 (€ 6,993.75) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Michael Landy - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work H.2.N.Y. Tinguely Machine Erases its own Construction in 27 Minutes, which sold at auction in February 2015 for GBP 18,750.00 (€ 25,853.47).
