Auction result misses estimated price range
In April 2018 a collector was able to acquire the work Semi-Detached, Lisa, John, Ethel, Maureen, And Michael Landy by Michael Landy for GBP 5,250.00 (€ 5,979.19). This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Curated at Sothebys in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 7,000.00 – 9,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Michael Landy have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work H.2.N.Y. Tinguely Machine Erases its own Construction in 27 Minutes in February 2015 with an auction result of GBP 18,750.00 (€ 25,853.47).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im April 2018 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Semi-Detached, Lisa, John, Ethel, Maureen, And Michael Landy von Michael Landy für GBP 5.250,00 (€ 5.979,19) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Contemporary Curated bei Sothebys in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 7.000,00 – 9.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Michael Landy auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit H.2.N.Y. Tinguely Machine Erases its own Construction in 27 Minutes im Februar 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 18.750,00 (€ 25.853,47).
