Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Clipped by Michael Landy was auctioned at Phillips in London in July 2020. The price achieved of GBP 2,500.00 (€ 2,788.56) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Admittedly, works by Michael Landy have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work H.2.N.Y. Tinguely Machine Erases its own Construction in 27 Minutes in February 2015 with an auction result of GBP 18,750.00 (€ 25,853.47).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Clipped von Michael Landy kam im Juli 2020 bei Phillips in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 2.500,00 (€ 2.788,56) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Michael Landy auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit H.2.N.Y. Tinguely Machine Erases its own Construction in 27 Minutes im Februar 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 18.750,00 (€ 25.853,47).
