Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Kinetic Martyrdom by Michael Landy was sold in the First Open Online auction at Christies in London in September 2018. The price achieved of GBP 6,250.00 (€ 7,019.55) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 5,000.00 – 8,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Michael Landy - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work H.2.N.Y. Tinguely Machine Erases its own Construction in 27 Minutes, which sold at auction in February 2015 for GBP 18,750.00 (€ 25,853.47).

Die Arbeit Kinetic Martyrdom von Michael Landy wurde im September 2018 in der Auktion First Open Online bei Christies in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 6.250,00 (€ 7.019,55) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 5.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Michael Landy mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit H.2.N.Y.
