The work Srs #8 by Michael Joo was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in March 2017. The auction ended at the price of USD 25,000.00 (€ 23,368.85), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of USD 18,000.00 – 25,000.00. Admittedly, works by Michael Joo have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Improved Rack (Elk #11) in February 2008 with an auction result of USD 143,000.00 (€ 94,159.48).

Die Arbeit Srs #8 von Michael Joo kam im März 2017 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 25.000,00 (€ 23.368,85) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 18.000,00 – 25.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Michael Joo auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Improved Rack (Elk #11) im Februar 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 143.000,00 (€ 94.159,48).
