Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2018 Phillips in New York held the auction Editions & Works on Paper, which included the work Small Vitrine by Michael Joo. The price achieved of USD 1,250.00 (€ 1,035.28) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Michael Joo achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Improved Rack (Elk #11) in February 2008 with an auction result of USD 143,000.00 (€ 94,159.48).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2018 führte Phillips in New York die Auktion Editions & Works on Paper durch, in der auch die Arbeit Small Vitrine von Michael Joo zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 1.250,00 (€ 1.035,28) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Michael Joo erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Improved Rack (Elk #11) im Februar 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 143.000,00 (€ 94.159,48).
