Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Improved Rack No. 0 by Michael Joo was auctioned at Sothebys in London in March 2019. It achieved a price of GBP 9,375.00 (€ 10,881.28), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 17%. Admittedly, works by Michael Joo have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Improved Rack (Elk #11) in February 2008 with an auction result of USD 143,000.00 (€ 94,159.48).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Improved Rack No. 0 von Michael Joo kam im März 2019 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 9.375,00 (€ 10.881,28) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 17%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Michael Joo auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Improved Rack (Elk #11) im Februar 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 143.000,00 (€ 94.159,48).
