Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Strappado by Michael Joo was sold in the First Open auction at Christies in New York in March 2013. The price achieved of USD 12,500.00 (€ 9,753.43) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Admittedly, works by Michael Joo have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Improved Rack (Elk #11) in February 2008 with an auction result of USD 143,000.00 (€ 94,159.48).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Strappado von Michael Joo wurde im März 2013 in der Auktion First Open bei Christies in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 12.500,00 (€ 9.753,43) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Michael Joo auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Improved Rack (Elk #11) im Februar 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 143.000,00 (€ 94.159,48).
