Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Michael Joo could be acquired at Sothebys in London in September 2018 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Yellow Ball: The Frank and Lorna Dunphy Collection auction, the work Improved Rack No. 0 changed hands for GBP 15,000.00 (€ 16,846.93) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Admittedly, works by Michael Joo have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Improved Rack (Elk #11) in February 2008 with an auction result of USD 143,000.00 (€ 94,159.48).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Michael Joo konnte im September 2018 bei Sothebys in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Yellow Ball: The Frank and Lorna Dunphy Collection wechselte die Arbeit Improved Rack No. 0 für GBP 15.000,00 (€ 16.846,93) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 20.000,00 – 30.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Michael Joo auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Improved Rack (Elk #11) im Februar 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 143.000,00 (€ 94.159,48).
